Peacock Chinese Brunch at a restaurant older than myself!
Two Weeks ago, we were invited for brunch at the Radisson Blue Hotel, in one of their oldest and renowned restaurants - Peacock Chinese Restaurant.
Opened in 1983, Peacock offers an appetizing menu with range of traditional cuisine from various areas of China. We believe it to be true, as we had seen quite a few Chinese families enjoying the food that day.
Framed Chinese artefacts, paintings and traditional decorations complement the exotic ambience and makes you feel transported into the Orient.
Following the years of tradition pride is taken on their outstanding quality of food and service.
The staff is extremely friendly and helped build up our appetite by offering us, (along with a very warm greeting) Jasmine green tea and roasted cashew nuts.
We had all chosen the delicious Hot & Sour Soup, after which we headed; to each and every one of the 6 live cooking stations available – where the best part of the brunch happens - as the selected fresh foods were being cooked to our liking right in front of us: noodles station serves various types of fried noodles and udon.
The Teppanyaki station has a great selection of chicken, beef, seafood and vegies that can be grilled to your liking. You definitely shouldn’t miss Peacock’s famous Peking Duck freshly cut just in front of you.
Let’s not forget the mouth-watering sushi that is being freshly prepared just in front of you.
The sweet end of our journey was the dessert cart that offers sweet treats prepared by their pastry master chefs.
Weekend Brunch at Peacock combines both best of what the Chinese and Japanese cuisines have to offer – and it’s on every Friday and Saturday– from 12:30 to 6PM!
