As an expat arriving in Kuwait, the first very place I visited (and most likely for you as well) was Marina Mall.
Taking a stroll, checking out the spectacular sea-view, enjoying the gentle breeze of a late September’s evening and the beauty of the Marina, I sat at Ayyame. Love at first sight!
And if you’re asking me where is the perfect dining place in Kuwait, I’ll tell you without hesitation: Ayyame!
Just yesterday I was there, (and the other week, and the one before that, and every week I pass by at least once).
Overlooking the Marina Crescent, the contemporary Middle Eastern restaurant will delight you with its menu variety and to be honest I’ve never been so fascinated with a menu before - been there so many times they recognize me by the voice each time I call in for a reservation ;))
My favorite? All menu! I mean it!
Chicken livers always, best falafel in town, spinach hummus, lamb tajin, roast goat with rice and not to forget their tabliya options; a basket of freshly baked bread includes a mix of olive bread, zataar bread, will compliment all your orders. But not only the food, also the drinks menu: Ayyame chai, tea with milk infused with cardamom, Moroccan mint, Saffron milk.
A diverse cuisine mix from Middle East and Africa. Modern and traditional.
Beautiful not only on the outside but with a lovely interior that has been recently renovated to a more chic and elegant atmosphere, give a whole new meaning to Middle Eastern flair.
If you once pass by, you will definitely be charmed by Ayyame as well.
You can find Ayyame in Salmiya - Marina Crescent, Abu Hassania - The Village and Al Shaheed Park - Phase 2.
