Ladies who lunch may usually head for the salad bar, but Pizzeria Amami offered us a great change of pace. Located in the relatively new Symphony Mall, it was a convenient stop after a meeting at the Symphony Style Hotel. Amami offered an array of appetizing wood fired pizza. We chose the Capriciosso, with Artichokes, fresh Buffalo Mozzarella, and fresh (not canned) Mushrooms. This pizza really passed the foodie snob test for great pizza. We loved the crust, quickly baked in the Wood fired oven, made crispy on the brick oven stones.
Pizza selections included Veggie, traditional Margarita, and one really odd pizza, a Nutella pizza, hopefully meant for dessert!! In addition we sampled a delicious spinach ravioli (sharing a ravioli each, as to not eat too much for lunch). We also had a fresh green Insalata Mista, and the Eggplant, Melanzane, appetizer, which was grilled to perfection.
Even the after lunch Cappucino was great. Although a bit remote, its on the top floor of the Symphony Mall, this is a terrific spot for a nice lunch or pizza dinner. There are few good pizza places in Kuwait, so dont miss this one. Its worth discovering.
Afterwards, stop by the new gourmet shop at the Symphony Styles hotel, for an amazing array of Macaroons and Italian gourmet chocolate treats, located on the ground floor, adjacent to the hotel.
