Ideas for What to do in Kuwait this Eid

  • Take an early morning stroll at Al Shaheed Park (they open at 6), enjoy the sound of the songbirds, the rustle of the wind and the splashing of the fountains. Finish off with a delicious breakfast at Three & Barista, what a perfect start to the day?

  • If you’re a dog person, then take your canine friend (yes our fur babies are welcome too) to the K9 Café in Shuwaikh, we personally can’t think of a better way to wile away the hours than coffee & cake with our furry friends.

  • Fancy a bit of urban people watching, why not head to SoMu have lunch at a quirky café, in the heart of Souk Mubarikya, and browse the old Souk for some traditional wares (ok, I know we said no shopping, but you don’t have to buy 😉). Or if you’re missing the markets of old London Town, head to Shuwaikh Market, and indoor market (so AC guaranteed), and listen to some cool tunes whilst you reminisce of those glory days in old Borough Market.

  • Rent a boat with some friends and head to Khubbar Island, or Ummal Maradim, famous for pearling, or even Qurah, the first place to be liberated from the Iraqi troops. Enjoy some snorkelling in the crystal clear waters that surround this little island, that my dear mother referred to as a sand bank! Ok, it’s missing the palm trees and green lushness of a tropical island, but the waters are turquoise, warm and crystal clear…we love it! Charter a boat from Silsan or from our favourite private charter, Omran Quli, call 97333765 for details, and enjoy!

  • What about a virtual reality game? Head to the Symphony Mall basement, with family or friends, and race against the clock at Trapped Inn at their Mystery Hotel…fun and delights as well as a few challenges await you.

  • Enjoy a staycation at one of the wonderful 5*Hotels in Kuwait, rent a chalet on the beach or at the Golf Club!
